JUNE 5, 2024 -- Hello Fellow Grangers! We held our monthly meeting on Thursday, May 9th. We were so pleased to welcome two special visitors to this meeting, Robert Buck and Debbie Vail. Thanks to both of them for traveling out to Simsbury and staying until the end of the meeting. We’d love to have them visit again! We had a lot to discuss with the success of our April Line Dancing event. At 6:00pm on April 12th, we had community members lined up for free chili and cornbread. At 7:00, local celebrity, Mary Root, had everyone up and ready to begin the fun. At least 40 people were still dancing up a storm at 8:30 when the event ended. This is a program we will definitely repeat later this year. Our upcoming annual fair on Saturday, June 8th, has lots of moving parts and takes all of us to lend a hand. This year is a bit different in that we are utilizing QR codes for adults and children to enter our contests. We are excited by this new form of entry for fair participants on our flyers posted around town. We will, of course, have all of our contests, displays, children’s activities, delicious crock pot items and baked goods for sale and a few vendors. We will also have 4 demonstrations this year along with our local favorite band, Out the Boxx. You won’t want to miss this year’s Simsbury Grange Fair from 10:00-3:00 at 236 Farms Village Rd. in West Simsbury.
